· The apostle Paul said in the 6th chapter of the letter to the Galatians, “God forbid that I should glory, save in the Cross of Christ my savior by which I have been crucified unto the world and the world unto me. Gal; 614 KJV

· Again, in Galatians 2:20 he says, “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. KJV

· Again, 1 For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect. 18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. I Cor 1:17-18KJV

The Message of the Cross

Our whole reason for being here (as the Church of Brotherly Love) is to declare the message of the Cross. Not in the usual way of preaching and having “church” but in living out the reality of the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ in our own lives.  Each of us having been:

Crucified with Christ. Nevertheless we live, yet not we our/selves. Christ lives in us and the life we live in the flesh, we live in the faith of the Son of God who loves us and gave his life for us.

We are the message which we preach.

Rev 3:7 And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; ….8 I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name. KJV
